ABOUT US
The Southwest Airlines Ski and Snowboard Club is
a club for people who enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or any other winter or
summer activity. Membership in the Southwest Airlines Ski and
Snowboard Club is for Southwest Airlines employees, their families and friends
and is not affiliated with Southwest Airlines Co. No prior skiing or snowboarding experience is required. It is a great environment to
learn how to ski or snowboard and have tons of fun with your friends and
other fellow employees at the same time. Anyone who wants to join is
more than welcome. Annual membership is $25 per person.

AIRLINE SKI COMMUNITIES
|
|
The Southwest Club is part of two bigger organizations, the
North
American Airline Ski Federation (NAASF) and
the International Airline Ski Federation (IASF).
NAASF includes all North American airlines while IASF includes overseas
airlines. NAASF has four events each year starting in January and IASF has
one. Each year, in addition to attending NAASF and IASF events, we have two of our own events
called "No Brainers". Typically, we have one in December in Park City,
Utah, and one in February or March in Lake Tahoe.

RACE TEAM INFORMATION
|
|
Our club has a race team which competes with the other
airlines at the NAASF and IASF events. For the past couple of years our team
finished first in our division. The team has a few regulars but by and large
we have different members at each event depending on who goes to the trip.
Anyone that wants to race is welcome to. No prior experience is required.
Our Race Team took both NAASF Cups finishing first for the 2006/2007
season. Congratulations!!
If you are interested in racing, please contact
Lynn Vaughan or Chuck Fagan.
Snowboard racers, contact Woody Stearns.
